Summary:
Designs, develops, and supports Business Intelligence initiatives that enhance operational and strategic initiatives. This position is responsible for leading, assisting and growing the business intelligence team in all aspects of the Business Intelligence (BI) development lifecycle to ensure daily activities and projects are completed successfully, on time and within budget. Responsible for overall BI data governance, quality, compliance and stability of Memorial Healthcare System's business intelligence platform and structure. Responsible for standards, policies and procedures regarding data management and business intelligence.Responsibilities:
Manages and Leads Development of BI Data: Researches, gathers, maintains, and develops market data designed to provide market insights and benchmarks (i.e., AHCA, IMS, FHURS, Claritas, SG2, Press Ganey, CMS go). Timely and accurately compiles various external data source into specialized data-marts. Keeps informed of new metrics and integrates into data-marts. Educates customers of dimensions and measures to support financial, quality and safety, and clinical analytics.Assists with all aspects of Business Intelligence development lifecycle, including the integration of data, extraction and reporting of data analytical tools.Helps troubleshoot more complex departmental issues and handles escalations.Manages customer relationships with managers and other leaders around the healthcare system and ensure their projects and issues are adequately addressed. Manages overall customer expectations to ensure that they are satisfied with the accuracy and timeliness of information requested by them. Communicates with BI customers to assess their information and reporting needs. Follows-up with BI customers to ensure that their deadlines are met and they are informed of any other relevant issues.Business Intelligence Administration and Support: Creates and maintains staff for maximum performance, accuracy in meeting the data requirements of customers. Administers and plans user and user group security access to Business Intelligence analytics. Trains and develops education resources to aid and enhance developers and end user abilities. Organizes infrastructure for effective deployment.Develops and designs analytics using various platforms to support management decision making. Leverages advanced analytics technologies within Memorial's BI platform and plays a leading role in promoting the use and adoption of these technologies.Manages BI staff to ensure that information requested is fulfilled accurately and timely. Coaches, motivates, and trains staff so they can perform at their highest level. Manages, maintains, and prioritizes projects and supports various customers and departments and specialized projects and strategic initiatives.Leads the development of analytical models for strategic service planning: Maintains and continues to enhance Demand Study model to support budgeting process. Maintains and continues to enhance Physician Demand Study to support recruitment process. Develops market and growth studies for various strategic initiatives and facilities. Assists staff to create models for inventory, marketing and other projects. Works with staff to update, design and develop costing systems.Competencies:
